AGE IS ONLY A NUMBER WHEN IT COMES TO RUNNING.
Glimpse of 1st Edition
Participants in marathons come in all different age categories, and they all have different running styles. While older runners may run at a slower speed but with greater endurance, younger runners typically run at a faster rate and have more energy. Runners in their 20s and 30s are typically the fastest, while those in their 40s and 50s are frequently the most reliable. Within each age group, there are, however, always outliers and exceptions. Finally, a combination of training, planning, and mental toughness—rather than age alone—is the key to success in a marathon.
